Funeral on Friday for Samuel McCullough, teenage victim of road crash
Samuel McCullough, an 18-year-old student from Crossgar, was a passenger in a Peugeot 207 when it collided with a Volkswagen Polo on the Coily Hill Road shortly after midnight.
Six other young people were taken to hospital following the horror crash.

Hide AdMr McCullough’s funeral will take place tomorrow in the Church of the Immaculate Conception and Saint Joseph Church Crossgar.
An online fundraiser to help pay for funeral costs had raised more than £10,000 by yesterday afternoon.
His mother, Pamela, spoke of her heartbreak in a moving online tribute to her “beautiful son” earlier this week.
“Our hearts are absolutely broken,” she wrote. “We’ll love and miss you always and your memory will forever live on.”

Hide AdHis former school, St Colmcill’e High School in Crossgar, paid tribute to the past pupil in a statement.
“Our staff shared their own personal stories about Samuel in his five years spent with us,” the school said.
“Many recalled how incredibly popular Samuel was with his peers, his bubbly personality and his kindness and thoughtfulness shown for others, which often shone through brightly. Our heartfelt condolences and support are extended to his mum, Pamela, his twin sister and past pupil Catherine, and his entire family circle, many of whom are past pupils too.
“We will continue to fully support those close relatives and friends of Samuel presently in our school.”

Hide AdA funeral procession for Samuel, described in a family notice as the “much loved son of Pamela and loving brother to Thomas, Chelsea and Catherine, dear grandson of Perpetua and cherished nephew” will leave his home tomorrow at 9.30am for strictly private requiem Mass at 10am, followed by interment in the Holy Family cemetery, Teconnaught.
